Harlesden Neighbourhood Forum is recruiting for a Forum Coordinator
Harlesden Neighbourhood Forum (HNF) is a volunteer-run community group focused on making Harlesden a better place in which to live and work. It was set up in 2015 under the 2011 Localism Act, which makes provision for local people to come together to influence local planning and guide decisions about planning permission and investment. It is formally designated and works within a defined geographical boundary covering the area within and surrounding Harlesden Town Centre in the London Borough of Brent.
We’ve been going for four years and our main activities to date have been:
developing a Neighbourhood Plan which was passed by local referendum in July 2019
planning and delivering community engagement and local improvement projects
building our status as a key stakeholder and influencer in the local area.
It was an amazing achievement to get the Plan agreed and the Forum is now looking forward to an exciting new phase where we help ensure the plan comes to fruition. We are also in the process of becoming an independent registered charity (CIO).
We’re looking for someone who can make sure we maintain the momentum of local support developed through the referendum process, whilst building the capacity of the Forum for the future and ensuring we’re represented in local planning activities.
At the moment, this is a part-time (0.5) post with a salary of £13,800 per annum. We’re currently in the process of raising funding to extend it to a full-time position.
If you’re interested in the post, please contact email@example.com for an application pack.
The deadline for applications is: 10 Feb 2020 10:00am.
Interviews will take place in the week beginning: 17 Feb 2020
